Avoid operating the machine with damaged or deformed rock guards as accelerated wear of the pin bosses and the bottom sides of the chain links will occur. If the pin bosses of a chain are damaged by either rock guards or worn roller flanges, the pins & bushings of the chains cannot be turned, therefore new chains must be considered.
